Elena Ward Gets New Position as Osteopathic Research Assistant
Our osteopath and sports massage therapist, Elena Ward, has some exciting news! Since doing her Masters degree she developed a keen interest in research relating to osteopathy and manual therapy. The National Council for Osteopathic Research (NCOR) advertised a position for a new Research Assistant, which she applied for, and after they received 33 applications and shortlisted 6 candidates, Elena was offered the position. This is what it takes to meet TheTriTouch’s high criteria for therapist affiliation: we only work with the best in the industry.
Elena started her new job on Monday 22 October 2012 and is now based in the Centre for Primary Care and Public Health in Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London. With the job being a 0.6 contract it means that she will still be working in her clinic in Kidlington as well as teaching at Oxford Brookes University during the rest of her working week. She is very excited about combining and developing a career in research and clinical practice.
Elena remains a full member of our team, and she will still be involved in some of our event work (such as the HotChillee Events and Cycle to Cannes) but we won’t see her for the time being at our Sigma Sport clinic while she gets used to her new routine.
Well done Elena!
