After suffering with chronic neck and back pain from years of playing football and cricket, Dan developed an interest in massage and its purpose for rehabilitation and relieving pain. He graduated in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy at Level 5 in 2011 and is now an assistant tutor at the North London School of Sports Massage.
Dan is now in his third season as a Sports Massage Therapist working with London Scottish Rugby Club assisting the physiotherapists and doctors in rehabilitation, pre and post match/training massage and pitchside first aid on match days. This work has enabled Dan to understand the needs and demands of athletes and is very much a part of many clients long term training schedules and aiming for them to reach the peak of their performance.
Dan was part of the L2P massage crew in 2011 & 2012 and The Alpine Challenge in 2011. He was a Sports Massage Volunteer at a Paralympics Training camp in August 2012.
In addition to treating athletes, Dan also treats members of the general public and is skilled in Deep Tissue Massage, Muscle Energy Techniques, Soft Tissue Release, Neuromuscular Techniques, Postural assessments, Gait Analysis and Muscle Activations through structure and functions of the body, to enhance strength, power and recovery.
Dan also works with private clients in a number of clinics in London.
Dan is a keen cyclist and enjoys participating in sportives around the South of England such as The Blenheim Palace bike festival 100mile sportive and the Action Arrows 100.
