This year I gained a new qualification when I graduated from my Masters Degree in Osteopathy! I’m now teaching on the Osteopathy Degree at Oxford Brookes University and the level 5 Diploma at the Oxford School of Sports Massage. I also ran my first half-marathon.
My favourite working trip was the L2P, it was such a pleasure to be part of the team again. Getting out of the clinic to be involved in an event like this reminds you of what it’s all about.
My personal highlight of the year was crewing for Dan and Alice for Devizes to Westminster. Our team crewed for them for 21 hours straight and they covered 125 miles…it was incredibly rewarding, inspiring, tiring and emotional!
I’m having a small hip operation in December so I will need a lot of patience in the rehab phase before I can run again.
My new year resolution is to catch up with the rest of TheTriTouch crew more often!

2011 what a year !! This year I left my day job of 10 years as a sports medicine lecturer in higher education to pursue my dream of coaching a triathlete into becoming a world champion or Olympian in 2016.
It took a leap of faith to quit the comfy life of paid employment and become my own boss and master of my own destiny with the launch of T2Coaching.
My full time coaching journey began with a whistle stop tour of the west coast of the US with my girlfriend (Vegas, Yosemite, Grand Canyon and San Francisco in just 8 days) before spending a month with coach legend Daz Smith and his squad of 2012 Olympians in Arizona. Daz and his athletes graciously accepted me into their world and I will always be indebted to their hospitality and I have a new mentor to help guide me.
I currently have the honour of working with both professional and age group athletes on a daily basis long may this continue. I’m also still working with TheTriTouch for all patients Sports Medicine & Injury Rehab needs.

I’m very pleased to have completed my Level 4 Sports Massage diploma in summer 2011.
My favourite event was accompanying Molesey Boat Club on a cross-crountry skiing trip to France. Very few of the athletes had previously done any cross-country skiiing and everyone appeared to develop their own unique technique, so everyone had aches and pains in completed different areas!
I’m now off to New Zealand for a month, back in January. For 2012 I’m hoping to get involved in more multi-day sporting events so that I have the opportunity to support athletes through their highs and lows.

This year I have enjoyed treating a wide range of patients and have studied widely the art and biomechanics of running and why it causes so many injuries. One of my athletes went to the World Triathlon Champs and came 2nd in her age group, an amazing achievement as I think we had to fix almost every part of her body to get her to the start line. I was also lucky enough to treat a large number of triathletes whom completed their first ever Ironman.
For me personally it has been a frustrating triathlon year as I missed a slot at kona by coming 3rd in my age group in Swizerland and then went to the World long course champs in Vegas only for them to cancel the swim! I’m planning 2012 starting with a good race in Switzerland with the help of my new coach, Tom Bennett from T2coaching.
I’m looking forward to providing sports massage at the Lanza Everyday Training Camp in March. Here is to a good year for everyone!

This year I completed my Diploma in Advanced Remedial Massage, I also attended a course in neurodynamics and became a Kinesio Taping advanced practitioner.
I really enjoyed being the GB team therapist at the European Long Distance Triathlon championships in Tampere, Finland .
My highlight of the year was helping an athlete who came to us feeling despondent, demotivated and awkward in her running. After a bit of help she qualified for the World Mountain Running Championships winning a team bronze medal and then went on to win an individual bronze at the Commonwealth Mountain Running Championships
My personal challenge was moving 300 miles south to Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales at the end of 2010 and building a successful business. We have an increasing client base of runners, cyclists, triathletes, climbers, other sports and generally active people who want to keep fit and free from injury.
My new year resolution is to get myself fit enough to keep up in training and get back to doing a few more races.

2011 was exciting. We opened our new clinic at Sigma Sport & relaunched our website and nominated UK Youth as our Charity of the year. Personally I worked at 11 overseas training camps and events including 2 long haul flights to Beijing and Las Vegas for the Triathlon World Champs. I completed my Dry Needling Diploma, courses in Anatomy, Dissection, Kinesio Taping, Reflexology, Thoracic release... and ran a marathon, completed a few sportives and worked on my swimming.
One of my favourite events was the Tridynamic Tenerife Triathlon Camp in January. The athletes, coaches and weather were brilliant. 24 degrees open water swimming non wetsuit: BLISS.
My personal challenge was to retire my beautiful horse who is now happy grazing with friends in the Hampshire countryside. I miss seeing him everyday and cantering in the sunset after a hard day’s work.
My new year resolution is to stay a lot more in the UK in 2012, which is going to please my patients and family. I’ve got great plans for TheTriTouch and our team. I think London is the best place to be in 2012 with lots of very interesting work and competitions to see!

This year I’ve completed the ACFMP course in London (American College of Functional Medicine Practice).
My resolution is to help more athletes feel better and perform to their best ability with my nutritional knowledge.
I use my Functional Medicine skills in all aspects of my work. We’ve got a great offer at the moment for £150 to review your nutrition (check out everything this package includes here), this is an important part of your training and a great way to start the year!

2011 has been a fantastic year for me. Qualifying in Sports Massage in April and starting my journey in my new career. Joining TheTriTouch team in May kicked it all off as it enabled me to work at the L2P and the Alpine Challenge. I met some great people, new friends and work colleagues.
I have also worked with the Australian Rugby league team, Wigan Warriors and now just started regular work with Great British athletes at Lee Valley getting them ready for the Olympics 2012.
The highlight of the year was winning a week cycling holiday in the Alps at the Alpine Challenge!
2012 will be a busy year for me. I have a lot of training to do to become a tutor at NLSSM. I have a big list of CPD courses I want to do to enhance my skills as a therapist. I will be out on the bike more, hopefully with Hotchillee to get better at group cycling. I will also be getting married in June to my lovely girlfriend Emily.

2011 has been a busy one for me. Some big changes have taken place since leaving university, but I feel I am finally beginning to settle into these strange, busy, southern lands! Life at Sigma Sport has been hectic this year with lots of new faces joining the team.
Joining TheTriTouch massage crew has been a fantastic experience for me. During 2011 I have worked at numerous events such as the 7Oaks Triathlon, L2P and Pearson Sportive. Being part of the massage team for L2P was the highlight of my year. It gave me the opportunity to gain invaluable massage experience, meet lots of great people, make many new friends and go to Paris!
My main achievement for 2011 was completing my Level 4 Sports Massage Diploma. For 2012 I aim to combine studies for several more courses during work to continue my professional development. This year I have gained the cycling bug and an absolute love for open water swimming. I did a 10K swim race and I aim to enter more swimming events and sportives during to get my competitive edge back!
My New Years resolution for 2012 is… to make sure it’s a good one!

Well 2011 was the year in which I took the plunge and started up my own clinic after qualifying from University of Surrey in 2007.
I’m also a run coach and I have a small group of Marathon runners who all competed in London, the slowest of 4 running 2hrs 48 mins. I have also volunteered (nominated by my lovely wife) as Midland athletics league team manager, and in my first year have gained promotion. Well done to the guys. Still we all enjoy motivating people that’s why I love coaching.
In November, we took part in one of Hotchillee’s organised rides. Before than I’d never ridden in a group bigger than 4! It was a whole new, but very enjoyable, experience.
My favourite experience of 2011 was not only L2P but also being part of the Alpine challenge where not only the gruelling cycle routes, the cyclists themselves but also the magnificent views were all awesome.
On the year ahead: well armed with my new lightweight table (not dragging the heavyweight around anymore) I will build on my The Tri Touch experience and do some more events work with the team.
And of course my sporting challenge for 2012 is the London Marathon… oh and spectating at any free to view Olympic events I can get to including the Women’s and Men’s Triathlons in Hyde Park on 4th and 7th August 2012…

I can’t believe another year is nearly over again. I was very happy to start working at the Crystal Palace Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre, one of the country’s leading rehabilitation centres.
One of this years highlights for me was on the L2P. Massaging next to and listening to Nigel Mansell of UK Youth tell driving stories. He is a tough man having broken most of his body at some point driving. Then completing the L2P after a crash at Le Mans.
The other one was working alongside the great members of TheTriTouch Crew. I look forward to working with everyone again next year.
Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all achieve your aims in 2012.
